Fueled & Aflame Dance Company Auditions and Member Commitment

AUDITION INFORMATION:

Fueled & Aflame Dance Company is looking for dancers ages 16 & up with advanced level dance training and a heart to share the love of God through dance!

When: Sunday, January 22nd, 2012 from 2 PM - 4 PM  

Where: Fueled & Aflame Dance Studio 

Please bring: appropriate dance attire, completed application, check for $10 made out to Fueled & Aflame Dance Studio.

More Information:

Dancers will take a short technique class consisting of modern and ballet exercises and then learn a combination which will be performed in groups. After the audition there will be a short question and answer period.

We also ask that you thoroughly read through ALL the information in the Audition packet, especially concerning the Member Commitment section. Please discuss the information with your family and pray about your commitment to our ministry, asking God if this will work into your family's schedule!

MEMBER COMMITMENT:

PLEASE NOTE: this is just a summary of your commitment as a Fueled & Aflame Dance Company Member. For detailed description please review the information listed in the Audition Packet which you can download by clicking on the link above.

• Regular Attendance of Dance Technique Classes (2 hrs. per week)
• Regulare Attendance of Company Rehearsals (2-4 per month)
• Participation in Fueled & Aflame Workshops (1-2 per year)
• Participation in Company Performances (approx. 2-4 per year)
• Supplemental Cardiovascular and Strength Training (as needed)
• Regular Church Attendance at dancer's desired place of worship.
• Quarterly fee of $30 paid to help cover the cost of rehearsals and costumes.

Other Information:

Dancers are STRONGLY encouraged to participate in Fueled & Aflame Dance Studio class CWD III & Repertoire. These classes would count towards your required technique classes.

Age: The minimum age required to audition for the company is 16. Please be advised that Fueled & Aflame Dance Company is a professional Contemporary Christian Dance Company for adults. Dancers ages 16-17 may be accepted as a Company Apprentice as long as they can meet the technique requirements and time commitment. The reason for this is that we have found the time commitment may be too much for some students. Should the student demonstrate an acceptable level of technique and commitment to the company over a specified period of time - then the student may be promoted to Company Member status at the Company Director's discretion.
